What will you do when you go home?

e asked these participants about their plans for sharing their Forum lessons and experiences

Nomajoni Ntombela, Swaziland Director, Schools HIV/AIDS & Population Education (SHAPE), and IBFAN Africa

"We've al-ready started. Our regional office covers more than 30 countries, and the first thing we will do is report to all these groups about the important issues covered here. In addition to the information from workshops is the discussion of this issue of the rights of the child. It will be important to find a way of reconciling this without threatening people. We are linked to the Internet, so I will be able to send a report that way, as well as through our newsletter."

Rebecca Magalhães, Director of International Action and Development, La Leche League International - USA

"The first thing I will do is put together an article for our La Leche League publications. There has been a fantastic mix of people from various backgrounds with different experiences here. I am most inspired by the work that has been done in the area of mother-to-mother support. In the past few years it has really come into its own, and this is very valuable."

Dr. Marina Rea, Director of Maternal and Child Health, Instituto de Saude - Brazil

I will report on my participation at the monthly meeting of our Alliance for Breastfeeding. At the Forum, I have seen incredible achievements from all over the world. Breastfeeding has gained much credibility as an issue you can see that by the number of government authorities that have become involved. It makes me feel very empowered, as if I can go and knock on the Mayor's door and say, listen to me. Or at least the Secretary of Health in Sao Paulo."

Dr. Arun Gupta, India National Coordinator, Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI)

"My two goals are to put together a national committee on breastfeeding and create a national breastfeeding policy that will connect all the states in India. India has a very strong breastfeeding network, but we need to consolidate it, and I would like to create a country level programme for the government."
