In Saudi Arabia, according to a new labour law which will come into force from 2016, the working mothers will be granted paid Maternity leave up to 10 weeks. This will also include 3 days of paid paternity leave for fathers.
It is important to note that female participation in labour force in Saudi Arabia is around 18% from 2010 to 2012 & rose to 20% in 2013 according to the World Bank Labour Force Data . This is far less than some of the other countries in the same region of Middle East.
