WABA calls on Trade Unionists to:
- Uphold the highest standards of legal protection for breastfeeding workers and parents
- Better understand how to support breastfeeding in the context of work
- Support employees to remove barriers to continued breastfeeding upon return to work
- Inform workers of their maternity or parental social protection rights especially in informal sectors
- Work together with employers and advocates to promote best practice in all areas related to infant feeding at the workplace
