WABA calls on Healthcare Providers to:
- Advocate for the implementation of breastfeeding-friendly policies in healthcare settings
- Implement the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and the revised Baby-friendly Hospital Initiative 2018
- Stay updated on the latest evidence on breastfeeding
- Teach mothers practical skills for breastfeeding especially in vulnerable populations
- Work with other stakeholders along the 1000 days timeline to create a warm chain of support for breastfeeding
