The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is a global network of individuals
& organisations concerned with the protection, promotion & support of breastfeeding worldwide.
WABA action is based on the Innocenti Declaration, the Ten Links for Nurturing the Future and the
Global Strategy for Infant & Young Child Feeding. WABA is in consultative status with UNICEF & an NGO
in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).
  
 

BROCHURE

The brochure (in English | Spanish | Ukranian ) is the first global project of the WABA YOUth Initiative. The objective was to make one document where YOUth can find information about breastfeeding and learn HOW this issue is important for mothers, babies and young people. You can use the brochure and share with your friends how breastfeeding can be linked to their lives.

In the brochure, you can find information about WHY breastfeeding important, HOW can it be fashionable, and its linkages with other important issues like Gender, Economics, Women and Work, Reproduction Health, Human Rigths, the International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitute, Environment and HIV.
