The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is a global network of individuals
& organisations concerned with the protection, promotion & support of breastfeeding worldwide.
WABA action is based on the Innocenti Declaration, the Ten Links for Nurturing the Future and the
Global Strategy for Infant & Young Child Feeding. WABA is in consultative status with UNICEF & an NGO
in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).

World Breastfeeding Week - Hong Kong 
By Hong Kong Breastfeeding Mother's Association. 

1. Distribute WBW posters, which are generously donated by WABA, to all private and public hospitals with O&G department (thereafter called the hospitals) and urge them to join WBW.

2. Distribute the WBW action folders (Chinese version) to the hospitals, maternity, health centres and the media .

3. Produce 10.000 copies of our quaterly newsletter  "Breastfeeding Mother's Connection" and distribute them to hospitals, maternity, health centres, community centres, business outlets.

4. Produce our own propaganda poster with the theme of  "Breastfeeding - The Beauty of Nature " and a chinese slogan with similar meaning. Our telephone hotline is also included.

5. Participate in breastfeeding talks and press conference to share our own breastfeeding experience.
