The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is a global network of individuals
& organisations concerned with the protection, promotion & support of breastfeeding worldwide.
WABA action is based on the Innocenti Declaration, the Ten Links for Nurturing the Future and the
Global Strategy for Infant & Young Child Feeding. WABA is in consultative status with UNICEF & an NGO
in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).

There is an international group of children with at the Forum. They include eight-week-old Lauren from Malaysia, four-month-old Freya from Denmark, six-month-old Cedric from USA, Remi, 2 years, from Malaysia, Gabriel, 9 months, from the Philippines and Prianna, 21 months, from Canada.

Valentina, Mexico

Eight-year old Valentina from Mexico is having a wonderful time at the Forum. "I am happy to be here and meet many peoople who knew me as a baby in Manila six years ago," she said during a break from singing and dancing. She enjoys meeting people from different countries, observing their bright coloured costumes, and participating in the many activities. She is especially looking forward to the Thai children's dance programme.
